Privacy Notice

Clario Method ("we") is the data controller for personal data processed through Clario Write. Contact: richard+clariowrite@clariomethod.com.

Data we collect and why

• Account data (name, email, sign-in details from Google, Microsoft or email) — to create and secure your account (contract).
• Text you submit and rewrites produced — to provide the service and, for Pro, your history (contract).
• Usage and device data (IP address, browser, usage counts) — for security, fraud prevention, enforcing plan limits and improving the product (legitimate interests).
• Support messages — to help you (contract / legitimate interests).

Who we share data with

• Service providers who host the app, run authentication and process AI rewrites on our behalf.
• Paddle, our Merchant of Record, for sales, subscription management, payments, tax compliance and invoicing.
• Professional advisers (legal, accounting) and authorities where required by law.

We do not sell your personal data.

Retention

We keep account data while your account is active and rewrites while you have an account; when no longer needed, data is deleted or anonymized.

Security

We use appropriate technical and organizational measures, including encryption in transit and access controls.

International transfers

Our providers may process data in the United States and other countries. Where required, we rely on safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decisions.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or port your data, object to processing, and withdraw consent. Email richard+clariowrite@clariomethod.com; we respond within one month.

If you are in the United States: you have the rights available under your state's privacy law. This includes the Minnesota Consumer Data Privacy Act, and, if you live in California, the rights under California law: to know what personal information we collect, to access, correct and delete it, and to opt out of its sale or sharing for targeted advertising. We do not sell your personal information and do not use it for targeted advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of. Exercising your rights will never result in discriminatory treatment.

Cookies

We use only essential storage needed to keep you signed in and run the app. We do not use advertising cookies.
